Happy Bicycle Day Everyone
For those of you who do not know, April 19th is referred to as “Bicycle Day” as it marks the day that Albert Hofmann first intentionally took LSD to examine its true effects and then riding his bicycle home due to not the drastic changes in perception brought on by the chemical.
I think that April 19th deserves a far larger celebration than tomorrow. While not trying to diminish the significance of marijuana, LSD has been a tool used by many individuals to open their consciousness and expand their awareness.
I have a particular fondness for this day as it marks the third anniversary of my first experience in this type of state of consciousness. The full potential of psychedelic treatment and research is still waiting to be tapped. When we come to the point where psychedelics and medicine may coexist, we will have a revolution in health and I hope this day comes soon.
